About

EZaLife, LLC (pronounced “ease-a-life”) is a start-up company that was spun out of the University of Colorado and Children’s Hospital Colorado in December 2019. Ezalife designs and develops medical devices for infants, children and adults with simple to complex medical needs.

Our mission is to improve overall health and safety, by developing products that simplify the lives of those with “simple to complex”, or “short to long term” medical issues, so that they can live with dignity and greater independence.

Meet the Team

Co-founder
Dr. Moulton is a pediatric surgeon and surgical entrepreneur. He founded 10Blade Inc. in 2001, shortly after 9/11. 10Blade was funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and US Army to develop small lightweight sensors and big data methods to merge pre-hospital vital sign and field treatment data with disparate hospital database systems, to provide incoming patient situational awareness in real-time. This work was the genesis for the Medical Hands-Free Unified Broadcast (MEDHUB) battlefield communication system that is currently being developed by Sierra Nevada Corporation for the US Army. In 2010 Dr. Moulton and Greg Grudic PhD co-founded Flashback technologies Inc., based on technology they co-invented at the University of Colorado. Flashback developed and now markets FDA cleared medical monitors (CipherOx® CRI M1 and CipherOx® CRI T1) for continuous, beat-to-beat non-invasive assessment of acute blood loss on the battlefield and in pre-hospital and hospital settings. This work has been supported by over $11 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the US Army (STTR Phase I, II and SBIR Phase I, II, and III grants, plus others), and private capital. EZalife LLC is Dr. Moulton’s third start-up. He is an inventor on four issued and 11 pending US patents.
Tyler Mironuck, MS

Tyler Mironuck, MS

Co-founder
Tyler Mironuck holds two Bachelor of Science degrees and a Master’s Degree: Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering---respectively. He recently earned his Master’s at the University of Colorado Boulder, after previously taking two undergraduate degrees from the University of Missouri Columbia. Having degrees in three separate fields of engineering gives Tyler a unique multidisciplinary perspective—an asset that allows him to develop outside-the-box solutions to extremely complex problems. He has always had a passion for making things that make life easier, which is the primary reason he gravitated toward the medical device industry. EZalife, LLC is his first startup. Tyler is the co-inventor on two provisional patents and one PCT application.
